Fun Fridays: UT Arboretum

 

Last Friday, we went on a field trip to the UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge.  I thought the trails would be pretty easy since they call them..."walking trails", but there were a couple  that  could be classified as  moderate hiking trails.  It was our first time to visit and we really enjoyed the visit.  

Things to note:  Bathrooms are closed due to Covid--a porta-potty was available, but no hand washing station.  No bikes, no pets.  

We are definitely planning on visiting the arboretum again!

The boys were having a great time when this wood frog kept trying to bite their walking sticks.  

Picnic lunch at the park...the bathrooms were closed at this park as well.  We ran into the Kroger across the street to wash our hands and take a potty break before coming back to the park for lunch.
