30 Days of Thanks: Day 5

Habakkuk 3:17-19

Though the fig tree does not blossom, and there are no grapes on the vines;
though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

Thank you, Lord for your perfect timing.

Oh Lord, how many times have I been in a rush to have something happen, to accomplish something, to be done with a certain task; only to be in waiting mode and discontent about it?  More times than I can count.  But the times I have trusted and waited for You to move, to act, to work on my behalf have been filled with Your sweet presence and peace.  Thank you, Lord that you are working behind the scenes to accomplish YOUR perfect will in our lives.  No, we are not promised a life free from trials, suffering, pain or disease.  But YOU are our ever present help in times of trouble.  You are the lifter of our heads.  You go before us and never leave us in good times and in bad times.  Thank you, Lord for your perfect timing.
