Our local library hosts a LEGO contest twice a year. None of the builds can be from a kit or online instructions. They must be an original design. Michael has entered several times: Lego Contest: Plaza Pandemonium; It's a Winner and done a great job. Every time the competition is stiffer and he has to work harder to place.
We talked a lot about how doing your best and working hard makes you a winner already, but that it IS nice to be recognized and affirmed at something you feel you are good at doing.
The interactive element to his design was new this time...
