A lovely Saturday

After hiking this morning, JP and I headed out to get some plants for the garden and a few groceries to get us through the upcoming busy days.

 An easy dinner with s'mores around the fire pit...

No better way to end the day than sitting, eating, talking and laughing around a fire pit with my wonderfully crazy bunch!

The Wild Robot

Michael and I finished reading a new favorite book, The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.   Rozzum 7134 aka Roz is a "wild" adventure focusing on the parallels between the ways nature survives with how an artificial intelligent being would adapt and survive in the wild.    We fell in love with the character, "Roz" and cannot wait to read the sequel!

Michael and I have also been doing some bird "watching".  Last week, we found a nest in between one of our gutters and meter boxes.  We held a camera up there and saw some baby blue robin eggs.  Today, we found something more:

Spring Band Concert

Daniel's spring band concert was tonight.  I love to see my sweatpants and t-shirt lovin' boy all dressed up looking dapper in his tuxedo!  

The program this evening was wonderful!  A wide variety of styles to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of the band. 

A well-deserved treat on the way home...
