Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt

When my oldest hinted they were too old for Easter egg hunts, I took that as a challenge to find an idea that my 9 year old would love and my teens would think was TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

Challenge accepted!

Glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt.

JP and I stuffed eggs, he hid and then went up to get the kids with glow-in-the-dark necklaces, way after Michael's bedtime.  (Michael was actually asleep due to his cough/cold thing, poor little guy.)  As soon as they came downstairs, they were  blown away!  I don't know who had more fun--the kids or JP and I!

Early Easter baskets...

It was a glowing success....

Tips:
  • Buy big eggs!  (Ours were too small for the sticks and they were a booger to get in there!)
  • Get your bracelet sized glow sticks from the Dollar Tree--20 sticks for a $1.  The Walmart ones didn't even work and I paid over twice as much for only 12 sticks.
  • Wearable glow sticks are so much fun.
  • Christian rave music really does set the mood!

Hope you have as much fun as we did!
