Our New Year's Eve was spent with lots of games...
tons of laughter and mayhem...
and a bunch of food!
Tera's pretending to spike the punch (really it's sparkling grape juice). We've started a new tradition on New Year's Eve of pulling out my mom's punch bowl and Tera's great-grandmother's crystal glasses. We made sugar plum punch with lime sherbet--frozen cranberry juice and sparkling white grape juice.
I cannot remember laughing so hard in years; I laughed until I thought I had pulled a muscle. All the kids made it until midnight and weren't too grumpy the next day. We've had some moments since then where they have been short tempered with each other, but that is to be expected.
