Every other year, I'd already be a few days into my annual 30 Days of Thanks project. I even contemplated not doing it this year at all. If you read my last post, (Burnout) you'd understand my frame of mind right now. I do know there is something that happens to us, when we take the focus off ourselves/our issues/our problems and direct our praise and thanks to the "Giver of all good gifts". I may be getting a reluctant start this year, but I know that the process will all be worthwhile.
I give thanks:
- for forgiveness
- for second chances
- for this promise: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Isaiah 43:2
- for my husband's employment
- for these kids, and their simple enjoyment of fun times spent together
- for a home with art
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father
of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
