Friday was the last day of school, yet our summer "vacation" doesn't start until next week. This week was still finishing up school related things (swim lessons, field trips, etc.) and the plumbers will be replacing our pipes today and tomorrow. So, the kids and I will be out of the house a lot. Saturday, we are going to a church play with friends. Vacation definitely doesn't start until Monday.
I've lost 6.5 lbs. of my 20 lb. goal. How? Good ol' exercise and watching what I eat. I exercise an hour a day and get in 12,000 steps. I started using myfitnesspal.com for tracking my calories, exercise and water intake. It's very easy to use and is helping me stay on track. If I keep up this pace, I should reach my goal in another 6 weeks at most. Right before my 39th birthday! Hooray! And I pulled on my freshly washed/dried jeans without any resistance or weird dances. :)
Great report at the dentist for all the kids!
Let the craftiness begin...Tera has made a 9 square quilt top by hand and plans on quilting it this summer. Daniel is making tons of origami sitting swans...he has them hanging in a mobile and sitting all over his desk.
Our summer garden has been planted. We did have to go buy plants from a nursery for some things, because our seeds just didn't take off this year. We're good with that. We'll try again next year. Our last big garden project is building 2 cold frames for the fall/winter. We'll be trying our hand at some overwintering varieties of lettuces/spinach.
With a little TLC, our blueberry bushes are fighting back...
Last day of school celebration!
Our last swim "lesson" of the school year!
Grandmother cards....done and in the mail!
Well, the plumbers are here and we need to take off soon....
