We went today and picked up everything at the fair. We thought we were getting there early in the pouring rain; but lots of people had been there already. The kids were really happy to see all their ribbons for their hard work. We did get a chance to look around at the canning and photography categories, since the kids are thinking of branching out next year.
In the culinary department...Tera placed in all the categories she entered (1st-Cereal squares; 3rd-Decorated cupcakes and No-bake cookies) Daniel won 2nd place for his peanut butter cookies. They won a menagerie of ribbons for all their fine arts projects. We are so proud of their hard work and glad they were recognized for their efforts. Some highlights: Daniel's 3-D origami swan won 1st place in the article made from paper and won....BEST OF SHOW for his age division! Tera's bird house and painting won 2nd place (those were my favorites)!
