Here's another recipe I found when we were in the process of diagnosing my son's allergy (tree nuts).
2 cups flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. each of the following dried herbs (or whatever you have on hand): oregano, basil, parsley and rosemary
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Mix together all dry ingredients in one bowl.
In another bowl or measuring cup, combine water and oil.
Add to dry mixture and mix well.
Knead on a lightly floured surface 20 to 25 times. Roll or pat the dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Using a cookie cutter or glass, cut dough.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
(For a plain biscuit, leave out herbs)
