It's been a busy weekend at our house. My husband had a competition at work on Saturday morning, then we had our 2nd Annual Christmas Parade party at our house. The first year we moved here, I realized the town parade goes right by our house basically on all sides. So each year since, we've invited friends over to join us. The kids have such a wonderful time, watching out the window for the policeman to shut down our street while Charlie Brown Christmas is playing on the television, then running to watch for the parade to come up the street. We come in to warm up with cookies and hot chocolate. Then the real fun begins, trading of the loot. The kids turn our living room into a smaller scale version of Wall Street. Everyone has their favorite-some only want chocolate, others only want peppermint. In the end, they are all happy!
