Ancient Greece- Day 1

Ancient Greeks liked geometry better than algrebra, so I'm using that excuse to do a unit on geometry for our unit.Using these two books:Geometry for Every Kid by Janice VanCleaveGeometry (Math Success)

Today, we started with Lines, Points, and Rays. Tera and Daniel tried to fool their Daddy with an optical illusion using line segments.

Daniel and Tera made posters with key ideas that represented a city-state of their choice. Daniel chose Corinth and Tera chose Athens.

We are also using this unit to learn some Greek root words, prefixes and suffixes. This chart is a great introduction.
