We had pretty busy weeks lately but have still managed to do some state activities. We compared Kentucky's population with New York, Florida, and Alabama. The kids counted 1 piece per 100,000 people for each state. Alabama and Kentucky were very similar in population, while New York smoked them all.
We copied an outline of a couple of states then filled in the details.
Daniel made a clay 2-D model of Georgia's state bird, the brown thrasher.
Tera made a poster that showed the Georgia's economy.
These are the highlights of the week but we did some other activities that are found at Lesson Pathways. (I would post all the links we visited but my baby wants to dance and making him laugh is more fun)
A friend asked me today to swap our favorite recipes. I realized I have blogged about more recipes than I thought. These are a few of our favorite recipes. Most of these my kids love and have appeared on our table throughout the years.
