We've been cooped up with illness the past week- no friends over, no real outings. I was getting cabin fever so we decided to take church on the road this week. We drove out to Fort Loudoun State Park where we had our church service at a picnic table overlooking the water. It was so calm, relaxing and quiet. In the middle of God's creation, I always feel His presence so keenly. It settles and brings peace to my soul.
After church, we decided to walk around the fort a bit. This was a weekend where there was no one there for most of the time we were there. So we let the kids have freedom exploring around the fort.
Tera's defending the fort from the enemies...I guess she was successful!
Daniel getting his arm amputated by the army doctor. This knife was sharp and when Daniel jerked away, he came away with a small scratch. He okay though and a little wiser about people with knives.
Such a beautiful place!
Michael is getting big enough to go exploring too! He loved walking down the boardwalks and holding hands.
Tera decided the bunkhouses needed a little cleaning, then felt like settling down for a rest.
Daniel was hard to pin down for any pictures because he was running reconnaissance.
